STORY OF EZU RIVER IN ANAMBRA STATE

It has been a tough week exploring and unearthing the tourism potentials in Anambra state Our first stop for the week was at Iyiocha lake Amaokpala in Orumba North L.G.A were we discovered that the lake visited the town in form of a human being and requested for a place to farm which the town offered him, unknown to them that the man who was asking for empty land is not a human being, we also learnt that the lake forbids dumping of refuse in it and people should not defecate around it. it also believed that any Oko man or woman who comes close to it will be drown because Oko people refused to give him land when he first visited them. The second was at Ufuma still in Orumba north the town has 3 caves and one of the cave is been inhabited by lion (Agu) which the town still offer some scarify to it as the gods of the land.
